PHOTOS OF KAUAI AND OAHU DURING SEVERE RAIN FALL
KAUAI and OAHU have had severe rain fall off and on for the past week and a half. Here are some photos of what it was like. Thankfully Kauai has had 2 days of rest from all the rain. Oahu had quite a bit of rain and flooding yesterday. Weather reports show there may be more severe weather on its way. The trade winds are back so residents are hopeful that the winds will help to push the storm away from the islands.

In all my years of living in Hawaii, I have never seen lightning come down like this. The crashes of lightning was the loudest I have ever heard.

PHOTOS OVER THE PACIFIC OCEAN
Several months ago I went on a spontaneous helicopter ride over the Pacific Ocean from Kauai to the island of Maui. I think if I had enough time to think about what the trip entailed, I wouldn’t have gone. I was nervous several times but overall, the trip was amazing.
SEVERE WEATHER FOR THE ISLAND OF KAUAI
For a good part of yesterday, all of last night and up till late this afternoon, Kauai got dumped on by lots of rain. I was up most of the night with thunder and crashes of lightning. Some of the loudest I’ve ever heard. I’ve included a video from KHON2 News. It’s a 2 minute clip of some of the damaged caused by the storm. Look for Opaekaa Falls. Normally a gorgeous waterfall, is now chocolate brown from all the rain and run off. I’ve also included a picture taken by a friend on the west side of Kauai of a beautiful sunset to end this blessed Sunday.
